On Thursday, April 25, the St. Thomas community was enjoying J'Ouvert when the celebration was shattered by gunshots which injured three people. Public safety officials immediately canceled the remainder of J'Ouvert.

Cancer Support VI Hosts Free Lecture

Cancer Support VI (CSVI) is a group of cancer patients, survivors and caregivers. The group meets once a month from noon to 1 p.m. on the first Wednesday of the month at the Charlotte Kimelman Cancer Institute Medical Auditorium, St. Thomas.  Meetings are open to all. CSVI Mission Statement: To provide support, education, information and assistance to people living with cancer and their families and friends. CSVI does not offer advice or recommendations. The group comes together to share our experiences, strengths and hope. CSVI provides lectures by healthcare professionals and support meetings for cancer survivors, and caregivers. CSVI is free of charge and open to anyone affected by cancer.
