St. Thomas Man Pleads Guilty to Bribery
Miguel Rodriguez Ramirez, 45, of St. Thomas pleaded guilty Friday in District Court to a charge that he bribed a public official to smuggle illegal aliens into the United States.

Philanthropist Neil Weiss Dies at 92

Businessman and philanthropist Neil Weiss died Wednesday at age 92 on St. Thomas. Following a 10 a.m. service Sunday at Turnbull’s Funeral Home, he will be buried at the Jewish Cemetery.

RAPHAEL O. WHEATLEY SKILL CENTER COURSE OFFERINGS

Registration for classes that began on Aug. 23, will run through Sep. 10, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The registration fee is $100, payable only by money order.
Classes begin Sep. 7 and end Jan. 21.
The Raphael O. Wheatley Skill Center is located directly behind the Lockhart Elementary School and west of the Roy L. Schneider Hospital.
