Beach Advisory for June 20-24

The Department of Planning and Natural Resources (DPNR) announces that the Division of Environmental Protection’s (DEP) Beach Water Quality Monitoring Program, which evaluates weekly water quality at 43 popular swimming beaches throughout the territory, advises the public of the following:
DPNR-DEP performed water quality analysis at the 43 designated beaches throughout the territory during the week of June 20-24, 2011. All 43 beaches meet water quality standards and are safe for swimming or fishing:
St. Croix
Cramer Park
Chenay Bay
Stony Ground
Dorsch
Protestant Cay
Sprat Hall
Buccaneer
Davis Bay
Cane Bay
Gentle Winds
Rainbow
Columbus Landing
Frederiksted Public Beach (First Target)
Pelican Cove (Comorant)
Halfpenny
New Fort (Ft. Louise Augusta)
Princess (Condo Row)
St. Thomas
Bolongo Bay
Water Bay
Sapphire
Magens Bay
Vessup Bay
Bluebeards
Coki Point
Frenchman’s Bay
Hull Bay
Morningstar
Brewer’s Bay
Limetree
Linquist
Lindberg Bay
Secret Harbor
St. John
Oppenhiemer
Klain Bay
Hart Bay
Frank Bay
Great Cruz Bay
Johnson’s Bay
Cruz Bay
Chocolate Hole
However, the following beach does not meet the water quality standards for fishing or swimming.
