Eleanor D. Chesterfield Hendricks Dies at 72

Eleanor D. Chesterfield Hendricks, better known as “Chester,” died on Oct. 10 at Hospital Ground, St. Thomas. She was 72 years old.
She is preceded in death by her father, Raymond Chesterfield Sr.; husband, Elmo R. Hendricks Sr. and niece, Antoinette Medina.
She is survived by her mother, Lillian Nibbs Chesterfield; sons: Elmo R. Hendricks, Jr., Cletis H. Hendricks, and Dr. Derick A. Hendricks; grandchildren: Aakeem, Deja, Jahmal Selassie, Auralia, and Malik Hendricks; daughters-in-law: Tyneshia Hendricks, Joleen Hendricks and Carol-Ann Hendricks; brothers: Raymond Chesterfield Jr. and Wayne Chesterfield; sisters: Elma Young, Eclyn Smith, Ena Guzman, Jacklyn Chesterfield-St. Cyr and Marcia Chesterfield; and sisters-in-law: Regina Smith, Jeanette Smith and Euranice Chesterfield.
She is also survived by brothers-in-law: Ulric Shinnery, Wilburn Hendricks, Angel Guzman and James Smith; nieces: Lisa McDonald, Dorisa Guzman, Annette Smith, Kim Brown, Michelle Chesterfield, Monique Walters, Deja Chesterfield and Dominique Chesterfield; nephews: Wayne Chesterfield, Raymond Chesterfield III, Luis Guzman and Ishmel Harrigan; great aunt, Mavis Turnbull; aunts: Evelyn Brown, Ethelyn Todman and Gwendolyn Brown; uncles: Justine Todman and Franklin Todman; cousins: Aurelia Donovan, Elmira Smith, Janet Chesterfield, Iva Chesterfield, Marilyn Chesterfield, Cheryl Thomas, Liston Sewer and many others too numerous to mention; special friend, Vera Fredericks; and many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a first viewing held from 7:30-9 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 24, at Davis Funeral Home. A second viewing will be held at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 25, at New Herrnhut Moravian Church. Interment will be at New Herrnhut Moravian Church Cemetery.
