John F. King died at the Schneider Regional Medical Center. He was 85 years old. He graduated from C.W. Post College (Old Westbury, N.Y.). He was a proud World War II veteran, who served in Germany. He was a dedicated husband of 60 years and a member of the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Rita M. King; sons: Jeffrey J. King and Ronald F. King; daughters: Ann Marie Ubelis and Barbara Jean Anobile; daughter-in-law, Rebecca King; sons-in-law: Jani Ubelis and Paul G. Anobile; grandsons: Ryan King and Sean King; brother, Robert King; sister-in-law, Joan King; brother-in-law, Felix Della Vecchia; other family: DellaVecchia, Rendina, De Stefano, Mottochia and Tomaino families; special friends: Gus DePietto, the Battista family, Agnes LaPlace and family, Mr. and Mrs. C. Rommis, Leslie and Judy Richardson, Paul and Clely Berry, Carmen Benjamin, the Blue Army, the Ducommun family and Carmen Sibilly; many beloved nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will take place at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Interment will be at Mafolie Cemetery.
