Police ID Victim of Tuesday Shooting

Detectives identified the body of the man found fatally shot Tuesday in Upper Hidden Valley as 38-year-old Victor Manuel Otano Beltre, a native of the Dominican Republic.

No Record of Guns Confiscated by DPNR Cop Accused of Drug Smuggling

DPNR Enforcement Officer Roberto Tapia testified in March that he regularly confiscated boaters’ firearms but DPNR has no records at all of any firearms confiscated by Tapia.

Darwin Clarke Dies at 71

Darwin Clarke age 71 of Estate Mon Bijou died on Thursday, July 5. He was 71 years old.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Noel Parris Clarke, daughter: Charmaine Clarke; grandson, Leroy Brown; stepchildren: Ray Parris Jr., Kevin Parris, Raynessa Parris and Jenella Parris; adopted granddaughter, Alana Ferris; sisters: Muriel E. Petersen, Bernice T. Francis and Shirly Hodge Lewis; brother-in-law, Angel Lewis; nieces and nephews: Michael and Dean Petersen, Hector Jr., Miguel and Adelle Francis, Denise F. Green MD, Michelle Coleman, Renee Rojas and Charmaine Clarke; and great nieces and nephews: Wicamo and Khadija Francis, Theron Miles, Ashlee, Deanne and Sherelle Green, Tafara Francis, Terel Coleman, Mante and Malik Petersen.
He is also survived by cousins: Marilyn Christopher, Beulah Hill, Earla Thomas, Cicily Brathwaite, Tranz (Ethlyn) Turnbull, Eleanor Abednego, Doreen Faulkner, Annette Turnbull, Lynette Turnbull, Cromwell Stevens, Elmor Stout, Ottley Titley, Ludence Turnbull, Rustin Turnbull, Norris Brathwaite, Ariel Brathwaite, Vernold Brathwaite, Dornold Brathwaite, Austin Rabsatt, Tiny Rabsatt, Louis Osorio Cicil, Fahie, Readis Fahie, Larry Anthony and Rasheed Mumin; special friend, Roy "Naska" Hansen; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
The viewing will begin at noon and the funeral service at 1 p.m. on July 19 at Turnbull’s Funeral Home Chapel on St. Thomas. Interment will follow at Western Cemetery No. 2.
