Olencia V. Hodge Dies

 

Olencia V. Hodge, better known as “Ma,” died on Jan. 21. 
She is survived by her sons: Austin Adams and Myron Hodge; daughters: Sheila Lindalue, and Wilma and Glenda Hodge; 31grandchildren: Randy M. Hodge Jr., Daniel Hodge, Yashima K. Hodge, Springette Deanza Hodge, Afiba C. Hodge, Daryn R. Hodge, Shermeka L. Hodge, Bruce A. Hedrington, Mario A. Blyden, Eric B. Blyden, Leroy A. Hodge. Leticia Hodge, Kami Hodge, Kizzy Edwards, Natasha Edwards, Kimba Enrique, Antonio Hodge, Clayton C. Hodge, Willbur A. Robert, Cleave C. Hodge, Lorraine L. Lewis, Pamela Queeman, Jonathan  Adams, Mark Adams, Austin Adams, Jr. Tyrone, Melvin, Byron, Alvin, Myron Jr. Valarie,  Cory, Channel Hodge; 66 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
She is also survived by nieces: Janet Meyers, Earline Meyers, Eleanor Harrigan, Usula Williams, Valencia Harrigan, Annette Meyers, Shirley Harris, Mary Meyers,  Joycelyn Neil, Coreen Daniel, Caroline Riviere, Lynette Meyers and M. Valancia Ashtian, Bernice Pinney, Diana Harrigan, Eleanor Hodge, Maureen Meyers, Erline Keitt,Myona Sewer Warner,
Cheryl Meyers, Evelyn Meyers, Marilyn Meyers-Benjamin, Juel Meyers-Daniel, Muriel Meyers-Fenton: nephews: Kenneth Meyers and Frank Meyers, George Harrigan, Warren Harrigan, Glen Williams, Alvin Sewer, Iscedro Meyers, George Williams, Nathaniel Meyers,  Jerry Meyers; special friends and family: Cynthia Miller, Myona Sewer and Gladys Todman; son-in-law, Angel Rosario; daughter-in-law, Irene Adams; other relatives: Meyers, Testamarks, Matthias, Lindo, Harrigan, Miller, O’Connor; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A first viewing will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012 at Turnbull's Funeral Home. A second viewing will be held from 11 p.m. to noon on Wednesday, Feb. 1, at Kingdom Hall. Interment will follow at Eastern Cemetery, Smith Bay.

Funeral arrangements are by Turnbull's Funeral Home.
