Beach Advisory for May 18-22

The Department of Planning and Natural Resources (DPNR) announces that the Beach Water Quality Monitoring Program, which evaluates weekly water quality at popular swimming beaches throughout the territory, advises the public that these beaches do not meet the water quality standards for swimming or fishing.

Acting AG: Government Attorney Ignored Order to Withdraw Cohen Plea Deal

A government attorney ignored orders to withdraw a plea deal allowing St. Croix radio station owner Jonathan Cohen to skirt 20 out of the 21 pending charges of tax evasion, according to the attorney general.

SERVICES SET FOR MONSERRATE 'MONSE' CORUJO

Funeral services for Monserrate "Monse' Corujo, 68, will be Wednesday, Jan. 7, at 9 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral.
Born in Puerto Rico, Corujo is survived by her son, Luis; daughter, Christina; and four brothers, Jose, Nicholas, Jesus, and Samuel.
Corujo also has two grandchildren, Tiffany and Keion.
Arrangements are by John Thomas Memorial Funeral Home.
