Committee Seeks Theme for Carnival 2014

The V.I. Carnival Committee is accepting ideas for the official theme for Carnival 2014.

According to the committee, entries should be a short, catchy, meaningful phrase or sentence that clearly defines the spirit and excitement of the Virgin Islands’ largest cultural event.

Those interested can submit their entires in four ways:

– Hand deliver entries to the Carnival Committee office located across from the Department of Finance on lower Main Street;

– Mail entries to P.O. Box 307947, St. Thomas, V.I. 00803;

– Fax entries to 1-340-777-9199; or

– Send entries by email to jouvert@viaccess.net.

The deadline for submitting entries is August 31.

The individual who submits the winning entry will win a Carnival 2014 season pass to all events sponsored by the Carnival Committee. The willing theme will used for all Carnival events and will be posted with the winner’s name in the Carnival Booklet.
