Pistarckle Begins Summer Camp on July 28

Dear Source:
In response to the VI Source on summer camps closing due to an early start date of public schools:
Pistarckle Theater has not cancelled our summer camps due to early public school dates. In fact, we have just completed, ALADDIN, a very successful musical theater production camp which lasted for five weeks and we are about to begin our second summer camp, LEADERSHIP or YOU Bring the Drama. . LEADERSHIP begins on July 28 and ends on August 22.
Aimed at 13-15 year old students, Pistarckle teaches the basics of theater, playwrighting, directing, acting and producing. Youth are asked to write short plays on various subjects. This year’s theme is Cyber-Bullying. A four week camp, LEADERSHIP is very successful as it serves as an introduction to theater while addressing social concerns, all within a very safe environment. The camp ends with a public performance at 7:00 pm on August 22, 2014. Anyone within the community is welcome to attend. Additionally, we video all the scenes performed and make DVD copies available for a very nominal fee to anyone who wishes to purchase them. The camp writings, performance and DVDs are all dramatic and serve to address our communities social concerns. LEADERSHP is supported by the VI Dept. of Labor and CFVI.
We have lots of room in the soon to begin, LEADERSHIP CAMP. To inquire about enrollment, call 775-7877.
