On Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the GERS Building, 3rd floor, the Board of Land Use Appeals will hear the appeal of Mandahl Bay Holdings. MBH is appealing the denial of their permits for the large scale commercial development of eco-sensitive Mandahl Bay, Mandahl Beach and the Mandahl Salt Pond. In 2009 CZM made the right decision and voted against granting MBH their permit applications to massively develop Mandahl Bay and dredge the Salt Pond to make it a marina with 87 slips, put in a fuel dock and sewage plant and to build bars and restaurants and condos around the pond. Now CZM must defend their denials of the permits. Attend the BLUA meeting so that the developers and Board members understand that we support CZM and their denial of the permit applications. Save Mandahl Bay and the shorelines and reefs of the U.S. Virgin Islands before it’s too late! For a look undersea check out www.SaveMandahlBay.com.
