Shock, Horror and Judge Leon Kendall

Dear Source:

An open letter to Gov. John deJongh Jr. and the Commission of Judicial Disabilities:
I live in NY and I am writing to express my shock and horror about the actions of Judge Leon Kendall.
I have been reading on the Internet about the decisions that Judge Kendall has made regarding violent offenders and I am sickened that he is still a presiding judge!

I read the you, Gov deJongh, stated to members of the League of Women Voters: "Calling public safety "the first mandate of government," that your administration will "do whatever it takes" to aggressively recruit and hire qualified officers, restructure the Police department, maximize the use of federal resources and establish border patrols". Well, what good would all that do if when the criminals are caught they are let loose by Judge Kendall to do the crime again or even worse kill an innocent child as in the Daniel Castillo case.
I have visited St Thomas and found it to be a beautiful island but I, as many of my friends, who have heard about Judge Kendall's actions will be thinking twice before coming back to visit again as public safety does not seem a big concern and quite frankly there are other islands just as beautiful where I can vacation and relax without the worry that violent offenders are being put back on the streets by some judge who in my humble opinion is lacking in the mental capacity to do his job by letting these criminals out on their own recognizance's or to get their affairs together over the weekend!
