Members of Downtown Revitalization, Inc., will hold a special meeting to vote on amending the group’s articles of incorporation.
The meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. June 13th in the Grand Galleria of the Grand Hotel in Charlotte Amalie.
The proposed change includes adding a paragraph to specify the purpose of the corporation.
The proposed addition to the articles reads: "The corporation is organized exclusively for charitable, religious, educational, and scientific purposes, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or corresponding section of any future federal tax code.”
Only members in good standing are authorized to vote at special meetings. Approval shall be adopted by a majority of members in in attendance at the meeting.
