Tropical Creations Gallery Celebrates Grand Opening

The newest addition to the Virgin Islands’ art scene, Tropical Creations Gallery, is a contemporary art gallery that features a mix of sculptures, paintings and mixed media pieces. It will have a grand opening exibit Nov. 27-28. The gallery is open Mondays-Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The gallery is located in International Plaza, on St. Thomas, and features an exhibition of hand-crafted pieces by featured artist Tulip Fleming. Artwork from Virgin Islands and other Caribbean artists and artisans are on display.
"With my passion for art and my love of the Caribbean and its culture, it seemed like a natural step to open an art gallery on St. Thomas. All of the artists featured in the gallery have a Caribbean narrative to tell and I hope that this gallery will inspire the preservation and celebration of Caribbean culture," said Tulip Fleming, owner and resident artist of Tropical Creations Gallery. "I am excited to share with this community the beautiful art pieces inspired by nature. Many of the pieces featured in the gallery are hand crafted from local materials including the calabash. It will truly be a worthwhile experience for any art aficionado."
In addition to showcasing compelling artwork and artist exhibits, Tropical Creations Gallery plans to host monthly shows, workshops and special events featuring established as well as emerging artists from across the Caribbean.
