Public Works to Give Out Tarps on St. Thomas Through Contractors

The Department of Public Works plans to give out tarps to those who need them on a sign-up basis, with contractors installing them, according to Government House.

Residents will be required to sign up for assistance at the following locations:

— Public Works Main Office – Sub Base

— Kirwan Terrace Baseball Field

— Bordeaux Fire Station

— Tutu Fire Station

— Dorothea Fire Station

— Barbel Plaza Fire Station

— Public Works – St. John

Sign-up will begin on Monday, Sept. 25, due to concerns about more heavy weather over the weekend. The program will be administered by zones:

— Zone 1: Fortuna to Santa Maria

— Zone 2: North Side (Estate Pearl to Tabor and Harmony)

— Zone 3: Downtown Charlotte Amalie to Frenchman’s Bay

— Zone 4: Nazareth to Bovoni

— Zone 5: Tutu / Smith Bay

— Zone 6: Lindbergh Bay / Water Island – Frenchtown
