V.I. Fire Service Brings in Cub Scouts for a Tour

Fire Station welcomes Cub Scouts to tour the place.

On Tuesday, the U.S. Virgin Islands Fire Service gave Cub Scouts from all three St. Thomas Cub Scout packs a special guided tour of the downtown Charlotte Amalie fire station. Scouts will have a chance to meet and speak with the highly-trained fire fighters of Hotel Company, which keeps the public safe; learn about and explore the fire equipment; and sit inside a real fire engine.

The visit fulfills one of the requirements for the Tiger Safe and Smart, Wolf Hometown Heroes, Bear Paws for Action, and Webelos First Responder adventure loops. The visit unexpectedly ended a little early when the firefighters were called out on a real emergency.
