Sharon E. Smalls of St. Thomas died on Thursday, April 20, at Altamonte Springs, Fla. She was 70 years old.

Sharon E. Smalls is survived by her husband, Warren Ulric-Ric Smalls; daughter, Sharica Smalls; son, Daron Smalls; grandchildren: Deshori, Daquan and Karissa Smalls, and Shardai Sylvester; brothers: Layton Leonard, Lorne Richards and Godfrey “Buck” Lennard; sisters: Marcia Petrus, Delight Fleming, Lewana Richards and Juliet Liburd; sisters-in-law: Myrtle Lennard, Ruth Lettsome, Ina Stout and Anna “Fay” Leonard; brothers-in-law: Noel Martin and Jacob Smalls; and special nieces: Rochelle Perryman, Asha Jarvis and Monet Davis.

She is also survived by special nephews: Lowell “Shadow” Thomas Sr., Sean Perryman, Laurent Sylvester and Akim Jarvis; special friends: Marjorie Gerard, Zysca L. Williams, Tintin Hart, Felicia Brownlow, Reunion Classes of 1964 and 1968, Ethel and Edris Daley, Gloria and Joseph Lambert, Janet Harrigan and Ena Miller; special cousins: Eula Berry, Charles and Max Todman, Golda and Henry Leonard, and the Shanderson family of St. Croix; special colleagues: Water and Power Authority, Vitelco, Innovative and G.E.R.S. families; as well as many other family and friends too numerous to mention.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the first viewing from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, May 9, at the Celestial Chapel of Hurley Funeral Home.  The second viewing will be held at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 10, at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church. Interment will be at Western Cemetery No. 1.

The family is requesting that mourners wear festive colors in celebration of the life of Sharon E. Smalls.  (Please, no red colors).

Arrangements are under the care of Hurley Funeral Home and Cremation Center of St. Thomas, St. John, St. Croix and Tortola.
