Innovative Merges With Choice Wireless to Form Viya

Innovative and Choice Wireless, the largest telecommunications provider in the U.S. Virgin Islands with a full suite of telecommunications services, is entering a new era with a new brand: Viya.

On Wednesday, April 19, Viya was introduced to the community at a ribbon cutting ceremony at the new Tutu Customer Experience Center on St. Thomas. The Customer Experience Center was created to showcase Viya’s voice, wireless, video, data and enterprise services.

Viya is the new communications and entertainment company with a vision that is committed to the best customer service with products that bring Virgin Islanders together.

Chief Executive Officer Alvaro Pilar said, “For the last 10 months, our teams worked diligently to merge two local companies that have been committed to providing telephone, cable TV, wireless, high-speed data and business solutions to our community for decades into a new cohesive, customer-centric organization.”

“Although the Customer Experience Center was created to ensure that everyone who walks into an interactive environment can see and experience all that Viya has to offer, we did so much more than rebrand and remodel our offices. We have continued to upgrade the network to an intuitive operation that will allow us to be more proactive and responsive to our community. It is very important to note that we have also spent months providing customer care, sales and technical training for our greatest Viya resource — our employees,” said Pilar.

As the only company with all communications and entertainment services in the territory, Viya is poised to offer unprecedented bundles and discounts for both residential and commercial customers.

“We at Viya are very excited about our future and our role in the community. We will be so much more than your local service provider. We pledge to be an enabler of economic development by providing the state-of-the art technology necessary to attract new businesses to and enhance existing businesses in the Virgin Islands. We will also be of service by supporting philanthropic initiatives that are important to all of us. Welcome to Viya,” said Pilar.
