Clayton Colaire died on St. Thomas, on Friday, March 3, at Schneider Regional Medical Center. He was 72 years old.
He is survived by his wife, Doreen Colaire; brothers: Ashton “Kitch Colaire and Augustus Colaire; son, Alexsis Colaire, daughters: Cherlynn and Sherina Colaire; stepsons: Lenroy Callwood, Romeo Callwood, Eric Charles and Richard Stout; stepdaughters: Lenecia, Denecia and Terecia Williams; nieces: Covelle Colaire, Karen Colaire, Connie Colaire and Amariel Colaire; and son-in-law, Elvis Martin.
He is also survived by sisters-in-law: Carol Callwood-Daniel, Claudina Callwood-Dean, Nashua Callwood-Chaperon, Shevone Callwood and Shirley Callwood-Williams; brothers-in-law: Vincent, Elvin and Ricardo Callwood; grandchildren: Kemalah Sealey, D’moi, Asante, Cheyenne, Braeden, Elijah and Elliyah Martin, A’Tijah, A’Zya and A’Niijah Colaire, Kyrie and Maliyah Lewis, and Kebulan Alleyne; special cousins: Mcdonald Colaire and Mary Loubie; special friend, Austin Colaire; as well as many other family and friends too numerous to mention.
Relatives and friends are respectively invited to attend a viewing at 9 a.m., Friday, March 24, followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m., at the Celestial Chapel of Hurley Funeral Home. Interment will be at Smith Bay Eastern Cemetery.
