We Need to Change If We Are to Survive

Dear Source:

We need to change if we are going to survive.  I think it’s worth it; do you?

I learned a few things at the Democrat Meeting a few weeks ago.  It was a very good meeting, and we all were able to share our thoughts about the future of the candidates and our community.

Some of you may know that I think that Paradise is a wonderful place with a lot of very nice people, and we are trashing it and now we are beginning to seriously damage our economy.  At the meeting, I learned I have to be careful when I say our government is dysfunctional.

–I mean the leadership not the employees, and I will have to work hard to make that very clear.  I have worked with a lot of Government Departments for 25 years of doing business with them.  I sat and watch as P&P and some of the other Departments imploded when they changed commissioners, and I thought of all the people that I worked with there and how sad it is that so many of them were not trained to do their job well.

If the previous leaders had trained them, an inexperienced Governor could wipe out the top of government and the rest of it could still function.  Almost all of the people I have come in contact with in Government are nice people, but some are not.  A lot of the not nice ones don’t know how to do their job, so they do another one at the same time.

–I also learned that it might be impossible to make a leap.  Maybe we have to demand the Senate change to numbered seats in the next election, and begin making plans to create sub-district representation for our citizens for the following election.

I will gladly work for any candidate or Senator that is willing to help fix this place by changing our system so that the Leaders represent the people.

We desperately need a system of leadership that citizens in sub-districts are represented and elections are not controlled by special interest groups.

If none of them want to try and fix this place, write in my name: B. Gregory Miller, and I will try to do it.

Let’s fix this place!

Economy

Increase Govt. Employee productivity

Increase collection of all taxes

Increase reading skills, pre-schools

Install Solar Panels on all homes

Election Reform!

Be nice to each other,

  1. Greg Miller, St. Thomas
