At about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, V.I. Police Officers arrested 30-year-old Shawn Tyson and charged him with second-degree rape, the VIPD reported.
According to the police, Tyson had been identified by the victim as the man who sexually assaulted her Jan. 29.
Bail was set at $50,000, which he was unable to post. He was processed and turned over to the correction bureau pending his advice of rights hearing.
