St. Thomas Man Charged with Assault

Troy C. Etienne of Estate Lovenlund was arrested Tuesday afternoon and charged in an ongoing investigation of a robbery case that took place Jan. 25 in the Smith Bay area.

Police officers arrested Etienne about 3 p.m. and charged him with third-degree assault, possession of an unlicensed firearm, brandishing and exhibiting, disturbance of the peace and using a dangerous weapon during a crime of violence.

Unable to post bail in the amount of $126,500, Etienne was processed and turned over to the Bureau of Correction pending an advice of rights hearing.
