The V.I. Track and Field (VITFF) History Contest celebrated its 53rd year of history making. It has a rich heritage that includes the development of world-class athletes, Olympians, All-Americans, record holders and children who become productive citizens.
The contest consists of 53 questions that test knowledge about VITFF history and the movie "Race," a biographical movie on Jesse Owens that depicts important track and field historical points.
Winners/Prizes:
1st Place: Eduardo Garcia won $250 and an official V.I. National Track and Field Team shirt.
2nd Place: Leon Hunt won $150 and an official V.I. National Track and Field Team shirt.
3rd Place: Barrymore Berley won $75 and an official V.I. National Track and Field Team shirt.
4th Place: Nathan Taylor won an official V.I. National Track and Field Team shirt.
5th Place: Hank Klein won an official V.I. National Track and Field Team shirt.
The winner was the person who was first to get the most correct answers to the questions in this contest. To be eligible to participate a person must be registered and in good standing with VITFF.
