Nice to see a concern in your newspaper for saving the reefs. However, until pump out facilities are mandated, the island waters will continue to become a huge toilet. Our waters are the last clean waters in the world. Thousands of boats every day discharge raw sewage into the pristine bays and smother the coral reefs.
The governments of both nations need to institute an immediate stop to these unhealthy acts. The BVI is more concerned with milking every penny out of tourists by charging high fees to use their beaches and moorings, but continue to allow flushing directly into the water. Shame, shame.
